Privacy

This page describes what the system does today. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not yet a privacy policy — it needs one before launch, covering the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 in particular.

What we collect

When you create an account: your name, email address, phone number, gender and district. Your email is verified with a code before the account is created.

When you use the site: the cars you save, the enquiries you send, the test drives you request, any listing you report, and the reviews you write.

Who sees it

Showrooms see your name and phone number when you ask for their number, send them a message, or request a test drive. That is the point of the exchange: they can only call you back if they have it. It happens only when you take one of those actions — browsing and saving cars tells them nothing.

Your reviews are public, shown with your first and last name.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not publish your phone number anywhere on the site. We do not take payment for a vehicle, so we never hold your card or bank details — any payment for a car happens directly between you and the showroom.

Your account

You can change your details at any time from your profile, and change your password there too, which signs out every other device. Blocking or deleting an account is handled by support at present.

Still to be settled

Data retention periods, the grievance officer's name and contact details, the consent-withdrawal route, and the account-deletion process all need deciding before this becomes a policy.
